Woops, a few day hiatus in writing.
These few things I have fed for the past days.  Sid is a bit itchy, but I think she needs a bath.  Her armpits are scabbed, and her eye is goopy.

6:15 am  Flower essences
6:30 am  Beef tripe

6:30 pm  Two chicken thighs with bone, l-glutamine and omega3s

Sid was a bit chewy thins morning, chewing at her knees and scratching at her ears.  She still looks great, though.  Her eyes are healed right now.

March 26th

Sid woke up a little itchy-- normal.
6:00 am  Fed primal defense in water
6:30 am  Fed ground turkey with bone and chicken organs (from inside the chicken-- gizzard, heart, liver, I think)

Bean seems to have a good day.  She looked great when I came home from work-- no redness at all anywhere!  She does have a couple bumps on her rear.  Probably a skin infection.  Not hives.

6:30 pm  Fed turkey meat no bone, one raw egg with shell, l-glutamine and omega3s

6:30 am  Fed 2 chicken drumsticks and turkey organ mix

Sid seems to be alright today.  Nothing too horrible.

March 22nd

Sid's belly is red, but I'm not sure it's just because of chicken.  She has been laying in leaves in the yard too.
7:30 am  Gave primal defense in water
8:00 am  Fed 2 chicken drumsticks

Sidda didn't have a very bad day.  We played in the yard a little and she chewed a deer antler.

8:00 am  Gave primal defense in water
8:30 am  Fed Oma's chicken mix

10:45 am  Gave flower essences.  Sid's eye looks red like she's been scratching at it a little.

Sidney's eye is pretty gooey today-- her right eye, not left this time.

6:30 pm  Fed Oma's chicken mix

March 20th-- try chicken again

Sid woke up scratching like normal.  Her armpits aren't as scabby and stinky as yesterday.  The tail looks healed up a bit and has scabs.
5:50 am  Gave primal defense in water
6:25 am  Fed buffalo tripe and organ mix

Normal day for Sid, it seems.  Her ears are a bit itchy and swollen.

6:50 pm  Fed Oma's chicken mix, l-glutamine and omega3s
Normal.
10:30 pm  Phil dropped part of his dinner and Sid ate a potato chip or two and a small piece of bbq pork.

March 19th

Sidney woke me at 5:45 am, throwing up in the bedroom. It was only a small amount, but I didn't really look at it much because I was still sleeping.
6:00 am Gave primal defense in water
6:25 am Fed ground turkey w/bones and organ mix

Sid has some sort of rash on her belly and her tail is fluid-filled again.  I washed it with antibacterial soap and the pustules opened a bled a little bit.

Sid had a pretty good night/morning not very much itching.

Not problems during the day.  It was a lovely day outside and the dogs had a nice time getting some sun in the yard!

6:30 pm  Fed ground turkey w/bone, l-glutamine and omega3s

No problems during the evening really-- we had a good day!

Sid seemed the same as always this morning when we got up.  I think she was drooling a bit excessively while I was still sleeping-- burping from the duck, I suppose.

No change during the day.
4:00 pm  Gave flower essences

March 13th

Sid seemed pretty good this morning besides a little bit of foot licking.  Her skin looks red, so I put some gold bond on her sides, armpits and hind end.

5:55 am  Gave primal defense in water
6:25 am  Fed ground turkey w/ bones and a spoonful of duck

My poor girl is itchy again tonight.  Her armpits are red and bumpy and she's been chewing her legs and feet again.  I put gold bond on her a bit tonight.

6:50 pm  Fed ground turkey and duck w/bones, l-glutamine and omega3s

We bought more tripe today to try out-- buffalo and beef.  I'm going to finish the small amount of duck I have in the fridge for her and then take a break on that for a bit because of her burping.

March 11th

Sid was fine this morning.  Minimal itching.
5:50 am  Gave primal defense with water
6:10 am  Gave flower essences and put Zymox in both ears since they looked red, swollen and itchy
6:25 am  Fed ground turkey w/bone and organ mix

Beanie was rubbing her eye on the rug a bit this afternoon.  Her armpits seem dry and scabby, not sticky at the moment.  Phil gave lamb trachea treats today.

6:30 pm  Fed ground turkey and a spoonful of duck, l-glutamine and omega3s
8:30 pm  The dogs are chewing on deer antlers.

March 10th

Sid woke up scratching as usual.  I really do think it is habit a lot of times.  I'm not sure how to break her of it.  Distraction only works sometimes.

5:50 am  Gave primal defense in water
6:25 am  Fed ground turkey, organ mix, and a spoonful of duck

Sid must have a had a pretty good day.  Some minor burping here and there.  I'm not sure if the duck is really going to be an option if this keeps happening, but I am going to be persistent with it... just slow.

6:30 pm  Fed ground turkey w bone, l-glutamine and omega 3s

Monday, March 9, 2009

March 9th

Sid was very itchy this morning, scratching at her eat, digging at her armpits, etc.  I dusted her with Gold Bond powder and put her sweatshirt on.

5:50 am  Gave Primal Defense with water

Apparently Sid had a pretty good day, despite her itchy start.
She got two cheapie dog cookies today but she never seems to have any issues with them.

7:00 pm  Fed ground turkey w/bone, l-glutamine and omega3s

8:30 am  Gave primal defense in water
8:45 am  Gave flower essences
8:55 am  Fed ground turkey with bone and two scoops of ground duck

Sid has had a pretty good day.  Itchy here & there-- normal.
No poops yet, though.

6:40 pm  Fed small amount of turkey w/ bone and more duck, l-glutamine and omega3s

10:15 pm  Sid seems to be having some weird reflux or something-- almost like she keeps burping and then licking a lot.  Upset tummy?
11:30 pm  Gave more primal defense in water

March 6th-- start duck

Woke in the morning with normal scratching.  Her armpits and belly are a little red.  She has some bumps in her pits that look a little fluid-filled.  Some are scabbed over.  Her chin bumps are draining/bleeding.

5:50 am  Gave primal defense in water
6:20 am  Fed ground turkey w/bone and organ mix

Sid seemed to have a pretty good day.  When I came home from work she didn't look red at all, besides the scratches in her pits-- looks like she left them alone for most of the day.

6:30 pm  Fed ground turkey w/bone, l-glutamine, and omega3s.  She also got a spoonful of ground duck in her bowl.

Sid was scratching a bit more tonight.  She did make a small bloody spot on her face again.

March 4th

I have been delinquent in posting to Sid's blog lately.
We have finished the lamb we had and I can safely say she's had no problem with it.  I am now feeding just turkey and will try duck in a few days.
I bathed her on Sunday morning and was sure to rinse very very well afterwards.  No problems.
She has been scratching and biting her sides and armpits lately.  So, tonight I bought some GOld Bond powder and put it on her.
