9:15 am  Fed 1/2# ground turkey with bones and ACV

Mild scratching all day

5:00 pm  Gave primal defense in water
7:00 pm  Fed 1/2# green tripe with l-glutamine

Dec 30th

Woke up itchy. Her armpits were a bit sticky last night. Sprayed them off with microtek spray and sprayed her hind quarters where she is still bumpy.

5:50 am Gave primal defense mixed in water
6:25 am Fed 1/2# green tripe

Eye looks a little pink but ok.  Scabbing on top of nose.  Pustules still on face/chin.  Back paws look a little red from licking or chewing.

6:15 pm  Fed 1/2# turkey with bone and ACV

Noticed tonight that Sidney seems to be shedding-- this is weird because she's not usually a shedder, and she doesn't have a whole lot of fur to shed.  I wonder if it is detox from the kibble, or if maybe she's getting a nicer thicker coat?  I hope it is the latter.

Dec 29th

Sid woke up and started scratching and chewing as normal. This does NOT seem to be working.
Her eye looks ok, but her chin and lips are still broken out. She still has bumps/pustules all over her hind quarters as well (which she is chewing right now)

5:55 am Gave sulphur dissolved in spring water
6:30 am Fed 1/2# ground turkey with bonemeal and ACV

Eye looks good, top of muzzle keeps getting scratched open, then scabs back over again.  Bumps on mouth look a little better?  Wiped with ACV again.

6:30 pm  Fed 1/2# green tripe plus acidophilus and l-glutamine

Dec 28th-- frustrated

Sid is itching all over this morning.  Her eye looks gooey, but not horrible.  The top of her muzzle is bloody and raw.  Her armpits still look horrible, so I sprayed them again with the microtek spray and now she's trying to lick it off.
Took away nylabones to see if it makes any difference.
9:10 am  Fed ground turkey with bonemeals and acidophilus.
6:10 pm  Fed 1/2# green tripe with acidophilus and l-glutamine

Today Sid broke out in pustules all over her chin and lips.  I cleaned them with ACV.

9:00 am  Fed 1/2# green tripe.  No supplements, no sulphur.
10:15 am Eye looks great

7:30 pm  Eye still looks ok, just a bit gooey.  She keeps scratching the scab off the top of her muzzle, though.  Fed 1/2# green tripe with l-glutamine.

Dec 25th

We had a frustrating night, as Sid was up gnawing her back legs and digging into her armpits much of the night.
Her armpits are sticky and smelly.  I sprayed them this morning with the microtek spray.  I'm thinking of leaving her sweatshirt off for the day, but we will be gone for a while and I'm afraid she'll tear her pits open even more.
I'll try to have Phil help with Sidney armpit photos later on.
7:40 am  Gave sulphur in water
8:15 am  Fed 1/2# lamb tripe
Left sweatshirt off all day.  She scratched her armpits.  She has bumps all over her rear legs.  They don't appear very red, but I can feel them.
5:30 pm  Gave primal defense in water
7:00 pm  Fed ground turkey plus l-glutamine

6:00 am Gave sulphur in water
6:30 am Fed 1/2# ground turkey with bone

4:00 pm  Just got home from work and let Sid out of her crate.  Her eye still looks good.  There is a little bit of scabbing around the rim only.
4:15 pm  Poop looks normal.  Gave primal defense mixed in water.
7:00 pm  Fed 1/2# green tripe with l-glutamine

Dec 21st

Sid didn't scratch overnight.
She went out with Phil at about 6:30 am and then came back to bed so I could sleep in.

9:00 am  Gave sulphur 30c dissolved in water.  She wouldn't drink it today, so I had to use a syringe to squirt it down her throat.  She took it well, then buried her face in the couch.
9:30 am  Poop looks normal.  We got another 6-8 inches of snow overnight and it is still coming-- The dogs are nearly up to their shoulders in spots of the yard.
9:45 am  Fed 1/2# lamb tripe
10:15 am  Looks like she rubbed the scab off her nose and eye, but it doesn't look horribly bloody like she's been digging at it.

3:00 pm  Sid's eye looks great.  Fed primal defense in water.
5:30 pm  She rubbed her eye open a little on the rug, but it still looks pretty good, just a little weepy.  She is chewing her rear quite a bit today and licking her paws.
6:15 pm  Fed 1/2# lamb tripe with l-glutamine

Dec 20th

We had a good night with Sidda sleeping in the bed.

6:45 am  Dissolved sulphur in water and fed
7:30 am  Fed 1/2# green tripe
Right now Sidney hasn't scratched open her eye yet.  I will post photos of what it looks like when it isn't torn and bloody.
11:50 am  Sid's eye still looks good.  I have to go out for a while, so we'll see what it looks like when I get home.  We got EQyss microtek spray today, so I will spray her armpits and legs later today to see if it makes a difference.  She was chewing one of her back paws excessively, so I sprayed that foot already.  She seems to be leaving it alone for the most part now.

4:30 pm  Sidney seems to have left her eye alone today.  I'm so happy about it.
5:00 pm  Gave primal defense mixed in water
5:30 pm  Sprayed Sid down with EQyss MicroTek spray.  She started scratching at her armpits while I had her sweatshirt off.  I put it back on when she dried off.
5:45 pm  First poop of the day looks normal.
6:15 pm  Fed 1/2# lamb tripe with l-glutamine.  Sidney is happily distracted chewing on a nylabone.  She doesn't scratch when she is distracted.

Dec 19th-- Sulphur

We decided to try Sulphur 30c instead of the graphites to see if we could get some better results.
We're getting hit with a big snow storm today. I can barely see the houses across the street. Yick!
6:00 am Dissolved Sulphur 30c in water. Stirred 10x clockwise and fed with nothing else.
6:15 am Small poop- looks normal. Put on clean sweatshirt.
6:35 am Fed 1/2# lamb tripe

1:30 pm  Still itchy.  Armpits, knees, eye and face.

5:40 pm  Gave primal defense in water
Just finished shoveling front stairs and sidewalks-- about 10-12"!  The dogs are plowing through the back yard in chest-deep snow.  Aprrox. 6 more inches expected Sunday.

6:20 pm  Fed 1/2# ground turkey with bonemeal and l-glutamine
6:45 pm  Gave bath with ACV.  Little Miss Naughty-pants tried jumping out two times!  Very out of character.  She's not usually very sassy or spunky.
Immediately started digging at her armpits again once I dried her off.

8:00 pm  Sidney is still pretty itchy, but she seems to be in higher spirits.  She was zooming around the backyard in the snow-- which I rarely see her do.

Dec 18th

Sid slept in bed with us and didn't scratch much overnight. Scratching started as soon as she woke up. I had to pick her up and hold her in my lap to get her to stop. She kept running away when I tried to put her sweatshirt on.

5:55 am Fed dissolved graphites in spring water
6:30 am Fed 1/2# lamb tripe

4:30 pm  Gave primal defense powder in liquid
6:30 pm  Fed 1/2# lamb tripe with l-glutamine

8:45 pm  Poop looks normal
Sid is licking her paws and scratching her armpits slightly-- seems a little better tonight.

Dec 17th-- I want to cry

Sid spend much of the night up scratching. We didn't get much sleep. I tried to get her to stay in bed with us so she would stop.

5:50 am Fed primal defense mixed in water.
5:55 am Gave dissolved graphites
Tried putting baby socks on her feet to get her to stop scratching. Of course they won't stay on.
6:30 am Fed ground turkey with bonemeal

4:30 pm  First bowel movement of the day appears normal
6:45 pm  Second poop is smaller and slightly loose
7:00 pm  Fed 1/2# lamb tripe with l-glutamine
8:10 pm  Extensive foot chewing

Dec 16th

5:55 am Gave graphites in water. Mixed probiotics in water and gave shortly after graphites.
6:30 am Fed chicken necks/backs

Pustule is gone. Small scab only, but now she has scraped the top of muzzle open even more. It was scabbed over this morning. I'll try to get a photo of it later.
Phil put on Sid's sweatshirt when he woke up at 10:00 am. I need to wash it and probably get her another one. Her PJs need a little altering in order to stay on. She loves the hoodie.

Phil got out the humidifier.

6:10 pm   Fed 1/2# green tripe.  Forgot l-glutamine.
Sidney scratched her face bloody-- eye and top of muzzle.  She rubs it open on the rugs.

Dec 15th

Very itchy this morning. Chewing flank. Will get out humidifier today and change furnace filter. Eye looked a bit better, but third eyelid seems to have trouble retracting normally. Pustule on chin has scabbed over slightly.

6:00 am Gave graphites per instruction. Mixed primal defense with small amount of water and fed. She likes the taste, apparently.
6:25 am Fed chicken necks/backs

Phil said Sidney was itching as normal today.  He put her sweatshirt on her to stop her from scratching her belly.

6:10 pm  Stool looks normal, very small.  Fed 1/2# tripe with l-glutamine capsule.

Dec 14th

Found red, raised fluid-filled pustule on chin.  In the past, these have always been identified as "staph infections" and treated with lysage injections or antibiotics.

Woke up itching as normal, armpits, chin, eye, ears.  Slight chewing of flank.

8:45 am  Mixed primal defense with raw honey and fed.  Gave graphites 30c in spring water.
9:15 am  Fed raw chicken necks/backs

Picked up l-glutamine, 750mg capsules
1:15 pm  No bowel movements yet today to report.  Hehe.

Christmas shopping gives me a headache.

5:00 pm  First poop today-- looks normal.  Wooo!!
5:15 pm  Fed 1/2lb green tripe with l-glutamine (1 capsule)

Pustule broken open and bled.  Swabbed it with ACV on cotton ball.

Dec 13th

This is a blog for Sidney's horrible allergies and our treatment.  Mostly for me to keep track and be able to link to others for help.

Woke up very itchy.  I put her sweatshirt on so she couldn't scratch at her armpits.  Shortly after we woke up, she rubbed her left eye bloody and raw.  Looks swollen.
7:45 am  Gave 1 tsp raw honey with Primal Defense powder
8:00 am  Dissolved graphites 30c in spring water.  Swirl clockwise 10x, fed tsp
8:30 am  Fed raw chicken backs/necks.  She chewed pretty well.
9:40 am  Eye doesn't appear as swollen, but is still slightly bloody on bottom lid.

Normal itching through out day-- mostly eye, face, feet and lower flank.

6:15 pm  Fed 1/2# raw fresh green tripe- lamb

Dear lamb tripe, you smell very foul.  Please be considerate of the family that lives in my house and knock it off.  You better check yo'self.

Could not find l-glutamine.  Will try GNC tomorrow?

Only only poop all day.  Appeared normal.
