She has bumps all over her hind quarters, and her face/chin looks red and bumpy. Maybe chicken = bad?
6:00 am Gave sulphur dissolved in spring water
6:30 am Fed 1/2# tripe with acidophilus and l-glutamine
4:15 pm I came home form work and Sid's broken out in hives all down her back, near her spine, and her hind quarters and legs.
6:50 pm Fed 1/2# green tripe with 75mg benadryl
Poor Sidney!
ReplyDeletepoor sidney, are you doing each protein for at least 2 weeks if there are no reactions??
ReplyDeleteits very possible chicken is the culprit, ruby cant have chicken raw, cooked, freeze dried, at all, she itches like a fiend and gets hives. cut out the chicken totally and dont give it to her anymore...
No more chicken. Tripe hasn't been giving her any issues as far as I can tell. I'm thawing turkey right now.
ReplyDeleteok, its very possible that since turkey is a bird, she might not do good on that either, and it might have been contributing to her other itching before.. no more chicken, not even organs or eggs... no chicken treats either..
ReplyDeletetry turkey for a few days, if she is still itching then no more turkey either..
